LEGISLATIVE SUMMARY - In the Senate a bill was reported in relation to the receiver of the Millers' Bank of New York at Clyde; also a bill to change the location of Washington Square in the city of Brooklyn Mr. Corning reported a bill to promote the safety of steam. boat navig ation on the Hodson river. Mr. Hard called for the consideration of his convention bill, but the de bate was cut off by the special order-the New York and Long Island ferry bill. Mr. Jones spoke at length against the bill. Mr Porter followed in favor of the bill: and Mr. Lott replied to Mesars. Jones and Folsom. The com mittee 1080 and reported progress, when they took a re cress. In the afternoon the ferry bill was passed through the committee, and, on motion of Mr. Jones, the report was Jaid on the table. In the House, a memorial was presented by Mr. Okkley against any alteration of the pilot law by way of Hurl rate. In the afternoon several amendments were propos. ed to the convention bill. Mr. L. H Brown propose hat delegates should be residents of the county in which they were elected - which was agreed to Mr. Niven pro posed to exclude officers or directors of moneyed corpo Mr rations or associations chartered by this State-- lost. Wheeler proposed to exclude all persons holding office under the government of the Unuel States, which was ugreed to. Mr. Van Schoonboven then took the floor in Ipport of the bill, in opposition to all specifications of objects, and in vindication of the anti-renters.--Albany Argus, April 21.
