Reinersville Mrs. Adda Carpenter of Malta spent the week end and over Sunday at her Reinersville home. The wintry weather the first of the week has put the farmers here in the notion of packing their winter's supply of pork. A bad case of indigestion kept Miss Genevieve Wilson out of high school, the greater part of last week. The Caldwell national banks which have had their deposits frozen for more than eight months past, have consolidated and will open for business sometime within the present week. This will be pleasing news to those depositors who have been closely run to have funds enough to meet expenses necessary for their regular business. This new consolidated bank will probably be the strongest institution of the kind, to ever do business within the confines of Noble county. A fellowship meeting and conference is announced to be held at the M. P. church in Reinersville, Friday evening, Dec. 1. The members of the five churches of the Reinersville circuit are supposed to have a part in the program. Dr. Williams, president of Ohio M. P. conference, will be present. Mrs. John Pennes (Marian McFerren) who underwent an operation for appendicitis in a Zanesville hospital, a few days ago, and who while in the hospital was taken with scarlet fever and was quite ill, is,

Liquidation of the receivership of two Caldwell banks has been completed. The Noble County National bank in Caldwell was liquidated after a payoff to depositors of 100 percent principal, plus 5.05 interest. The Citizens National bank of the same place made a payoff of 100 percent principal, and 3.49 percent interest. These banks failed Dec. 21, 1933.
