HUMPHREY BANK OPENS tary Luikart of the state department of trade and commerce announces opening of the Farmers State bank of under the new state law which permits banks to do a limited business. Mr. Luikart said the bank would not have been closed under ordinary circumstances, but the bank's officers thought it best to close the institution when it ran short of cash. McDONALD IS PROSECUTOR Pierce, Neb.-(Special) -K. W. McDonald. former Pierce man, has been named deputy prosecutor in San Pedro, Cal., his brother. County Judge B. McDonald, has been notified here. The California McDonald once was candidate for governor of Nebraska. He has been lawyer for 25 years and was district attorney in Morrill county, Nebraska, eight years. He has been practicing law in San Pedro three years.
