Keene's Condition Critical. NEW YORK, June i. -Thomas W. Keene, the actor, upon whom an opera. tion for appendicitis was performed on Saturday at New Brighton, S. I., has had a relapse and his condition has become critical. Receiver for a Washington Bank. DEPOSITORS ARE INDIGNANT. Creditors of Bank of Summer Will Prosecute President Thompson. Special Dispatch to the Post-Inteiligencer. PUYALLUP, June 13.-Ever since the failure of the Bank of Sumner at Puyallup, on May 31, a strong feeling of indignation has prevailed among its creditors against W. L. Thompson, the ex-president of the bank. which eulminated this evening in a very largely attended meeting at the G. A. R. hall. E. R. Rogers, the receiver of the bank, was present and gave an informal statement of the bank's condition. Great indignation was aroused by his statement that the assets of the bank consist largely of long past due paper of the officers of the bank. Not more than 13 per cent., in all probability. will be realized on the claims against the bank. was unanimously decided to vigorously prosecute the ex-bank president on the criminal charges now pending against him. A committee was appointed to procure counsel and evidence. Nearly $600 was subscribed to meet the expenses of the prosecution.
