The follow ing from the Searchlight Bulletin would indicate that the receiver of the bank is doing some good work. "Judge Brown has authorized Receiver B. Macready of the Searchlight Bank and Trust Company to gladden the hearts of the depositors with a dividend of 10 per cent. The disbursement will take place in about four weeks' time or as soon as the period of legal publication has been completed. Mr. Macready promises additional dividends of 10 or 15 per cent following the next term of court. six months hence. Inability of the receiver to act without the sanction of the court made it impossible to de clare a large dividend at this time.

Postmaster Rogers has received instructions from the department at Washington to at once submit data for the selection of a site for the new Winnemucca post office building.
The F. W. Day store, one of the most prominent dry goods and clothing houses of Carson City, has gone into the hands of a receiver and an assignment of the stock has been made for the benefit of the creditors.
The new codification of Nevada laws is now in the hands of the printer and the volumes will soon be ready for distribution. This will displace the Cutting compilation which has been in use for more than ten years.
The annual hay cutting season in Lovelock valley will be about three weeks later than usual owing to the cold Spring. Cutting of the first crop usually begins about June 18, but this year it will probably not be until after July 4. Despite the cold weather the alfalfa fields in the valley are looking fine.
Lovelock has been given a clean bill, in so far as the alfalfa weevil is concerned. Cecil W. Creel, who is in the employ of the government and making an investigation of alfalfa fields in the State for evidences of alfalfa weevil, spent two days in the valley last week, and after a search in a number of fields he stated that he was unable to find any trace of the weevil.
