DESHLER BANK PUT IN HANDS OF BANK RECEIVER FINANCIAL INSTITUTION CLOSES DOORS SATURDAY Defunct Bank Was Once Merger of Two Deshler Banks The doors of the Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Deshler was closed Saturday by order of the Board of Directors and officers and turned over to the state department of trade and commerce. A short time ago two banks merged into the present institution. It is stated that this bank will be re-organized soon. The capital stock of the bank was $25,000; surplus, $25,000 and deposits amounted to approximately $217,000. The officers are: President, Rulolph Koch, vice-presients, E. A. Rodenburg and L. C. Krutz; cashier, R. W. Rodenburg. State bank examiner U. P. Stannard is charge for the state department. The $30,000 in bonds recently voted by Deshler for the new school building was deposited in this bank. About $9,500 was deposited by Thayer county in the Farmers and Merchants which is secured with bonds.
