LOCAL NEWS Victor Winther had his tonsils removed last Wednesday at Nor folk. He returned home Thursday Mrs LaVerne Moraves of Norfolk visited here Tuesday with her sister Mrs Louis Purtzer Mr and Mrs John Dewitz were guests at the Henry Stauffer home Sunday evening. Mrs Lura Sullivan of Beemer called on Mrs Rachael Lucas Tuesday afternoon. Miss Alvina Strudthoff is work ing at the Fred VonSeggern home. Mr and Mrs Frank Wasner and Mr and Mrs Hudson Miller spent Sunday evening at the Gus Hagadorn home in West Point Miss Norma Blust of Fremont, spent Saturday and Sunday with her parents Mr and Mrs Fred Blust Sr. Mr and Mrs Bruno Miller of Omaha, were Monday dinner guests at the Hudson Miller home They returned to Omaha Monday afternoon Mrs Molly Kelly of O'Neill vis ited in the home of her brother D. D. Harrington, from last Thurs day to=Sunday. She had been in Omaha visiting and stopped on her way home. Mr and Mrs Jim Murphy went to Omaha last week where the latter is taking treatments. The two younger children are staying with her mother Mrs Wm Schulte while the mother is in Omaha Mrs Mary Palmer has been quite sick the past week, and unable to take care of her work at the Club Coffee shop. She is bet ter at this time Hugo Degner went to Omaha Monday to visit his uncle, Fred Balster, who has been in the hos pital again for the past two weeks Mr Balster was a little better Monday. Mr and Mrs Elmer Lueshen attended a surprise party last Wednesday eveing, at the Walter Ehlers home in Beener, in honor of Mr Ehlers birthday. "500" was played during the evening Mrs Carl Wemderf of Clarkson won high score, and Mrs Elmer Lueshen low score. Mr and Mrs A. J. West and grand daughter, Virginia Leutheuser and Mrs George Poole and little son, Barbee, motored to Omaha, Wednesday afternoon.
