Accommodated withdrawals

Description

Articles describe small runs on the Alliance National Bank in mid-June 1930; the bank met withdrawals, paid depositors in full and remained open. An earlier, poorly OCR'd item (Dec 1929) mentions a bank closed by its board (likely a different local institution or the state-chartered bank), which may have contributed to depositor nervousness, but the Alliance National is described as meeting demands and remaining open. OCR errors in Article 1 make that item ambiguous; I do not infer a permanent suspension/closure for Alliance National from these texts.
