PUBLIC FUNDS LOST IN BANK Warrant Charges Cashier with Fraudulently Appropriating $10,567 Grafton, N. D., May 24.-(AP)Warrant charging fraudulent appropriation of $10,567.78 of public funds has been issued here against Charles J. McKean cashier of closed Pisek State bank by T. I. Dahl, state's attorney of Walsh county. The Pisek banker is charged with appropriating the $10,567.78 belonging to Pisek school district No. 71. It is charged that part of the funds were used by him personally and that some were used to take paper out of the bank to which examiners objected.' The alleged shortage is said to have been revealed in a checkup of the bank's condition following its voluntary close in January which has since been in charge of a receiver. Mr. McKean as cashier was in active charge of the bank's management.
