# Indictment of # Eggers Quashed Grand Forks, Jan. 18.—(AP)—Indications this morning were that the term of federal district court which opened here Tuesday morning will be adjourned late this afternoon, following the trial of Charles Wallingham, Bowesmont youth, charged with breaking into the postoffice at Bowesmont on August 8, 1926. The criminal calendar scheduled for the Grand Forks term was cut to pieces Tuesday with the quashing of the indictment of Henry B. Eggers, manager of the Grafton Roller Mills, and the continuance of the cases against L. H. Sprague of Grafton, and of L. C. Haslett, receiver of the closed Cavalier County National bank at Langdon.

# Federal Court Term to Open Here Mar. 6 Fargo, N. D., Feb. 21.—(AP)—A term of federal court has been called for Bismarck for March 6, immediately following the term opening at Devils Lake Wednesday. Important cases at Bismarck include that of L. C. Hazlett, former receiver of the Cavalier County National bank at Langdon, charged with embezzling funds collected while receiver, and that of Harry Miller, arrested in St. Paul on a charge of robbing the postoffice at Belcourt about three years ago. The Hazlett case was transferred to Fargo and then to Bismarck because of illness. The term of court here closed today.

# FEDERAL COURT # OPENS TUESDAY Term Expected to Last Two Weeks—Several Important Cases Listed A term of federal court opens in the federal court rooms in the Bismarck postoffice at 10 a. m. tomorrow. Officials of the U. S. marshal's office who arrived in the city today announced that they expected the term would last at least two weeks. Several important cases are on the docket. The case of L. C. Hazlett, former receiver of the Cavalier County National bank at Langdon, charged with embezzling funds collected while receiver, and that of Harry Miller, arrested in St. Paul on the charge of robbing the post-office at Belcourt, N. D., three years ago, are two of the important cases that will be tried before Judge Andrew Miller. Members of the U. S. marshal's office who arrived from Fargo today are O. Gunvaldsen, marshal; Howard H. Strack, chief deputy; Hector G. Barnes, James Collins, R. H. Walker, Jacob Rothschiler, deputies; and Kathryn Erickson, stenographer. Ella O'Keefe, stenographer in the U. S. district attorney's office, is also here.

D., was sentenced to serve two years in the federal penitentiary at Leavenworth, Kas., and fined $2,000 in federal district court yesterday. Sprague's plea of guilty came as a surprise to court attaches as his case was scheduled for trial before the federal court in Grand Forks. L. C.
