LOCAL NEWS BENNETT-SAUNDERS Miss Ruth Mae Bennett and J. R. Saunders were united in marriage at 6 o'clock Wednesday evening at the Methodist parsonage by Rev. A. P. Aiton. The couple were attended by Miss Leona Davis and by R. L. Bennett, Jr., brother of the bride. A sumptuous wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents following the ceremony for a few relatives and friends. Mrs. Saunders is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Bennett, and has spent her life in Livingston and Park county. She is employed in the dry goods department of the A. W. Miles company. Mr. Saunders is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Saunders, and has resided in Livingston since 1922. He is employed at the Piggly Wiggly store. Both Mr. and Mrs. Saunders are graduates of Park county high school, and they have a host of friends who wish them happiness and prosperity. H. S. ATHLETIC PROGRAM A program of short boxing matches, wrestling matches, and a chariot race will be held at the high school gymnasium by the High School Letter Men's club. This is something new in high school athletics, and some good talent has been drawn from the high school. All high school boys and the boys from the eighth grade are invited, as well as men of the city who are interested in the promotion of high school athletics. A lunch will be served after the program, which occurs this evening. EPHLAND HIGHWAY ENGINEER R. J. Ephland of Billings has been named state highway engineer for district No. 3 by the state highway commission. This district comprises Park, Sweet Grass, Stillwater, Carbon, Golden Valley, Musselshell, Yellowstone, Big Horn, Rosebud, Treasure, Custer, Powder River, and the south half of Carter county.
