Alaska Pioneer Woman Loses Suit Against Bank Isabelle Barnette. of Los Angeles, Calif., first white woman to reach Fairbanks, Alaska, and after whom Isabelle Pass is named, lost in the Supreme Court yesterday a suitito recover $56,800 from the Wells Fargo Nevada National Bank of San Francisco and Fred G. Noyes, receiver of the Bank, which failed in 1911. Under threat of assassination of herself and husband and the kidnaping of her two children, she made a deed of trust for benefit-of bank creditors of her valuable in dividual property in Fairbanks. Rentals from these. properties, amounting to $52,000, were deposited by Fred G. Noyes, bank receiver, in the San Francisco bank.
