J. F. Briden was a Minot visitor in Glasgow on Sunday. J. R. Smith was a Nashua visitor in Glasgow on Saturday. Mrs. P. F. Mielke of Lismas, was shopping in the city Friday. T. L. De Cellas was a Glasgow visitor from Havre on Saturday. Miss Florence Macy, of Malta, arrived in Glasgow Wednesday. A. Benson of Minot, was transacting business in this city on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carmen motored in from Haxby on Sunday. G. C. Matchett of Baylor, came in Wednesday for a load of supplies. H. H. Beebe was in from Opheim Wednesday on matters of business. V. R. Hall, an attorney at Opheim, spent Saturday in Glasgow on matters of business. Paul Conley and wife and children came in from their ranch about 40 miles south of Glasgow on Monday. Mrs. George Barvley, of Glentana, was in Glasgow Saturday shopping and having some dental work done. F. M. Vokal, receiver of the First National Bank at Opheim, was a business visitor in Glasgow on Saturday. R. H. Carr, who resides at Oswego, entered the Deaconess hospital the first of the week and is being treated for a form of heart trouble. Monday, the 15th, is Hospital Day. Miss Mary Reid returned to Glasgow Wednesday, after spending a few days at her home near Tampico. C. H. McGihon of the Farmers State Bank of Coburg, was a business visitor in Glasgow Monday and Tuesday. Carol Lebert left Tuesday evening for Missoula, where he will represent Glasgow high school at the state track meet. S. C. Collum, H. Bouthoamen and K. E. Ponder, Great Northern surveyors, were up from Wolf Point on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Underwood motored up from Hinsdale last Sunday, spending the day with Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Mitchell. P. H. Peterson and daughter, of Saco, spent Saturday visiting Mrs. Peterson, who is a patient in the Deaconess hospital at this place. Guard your stomach. It is the foundation of health or disease. John Goodrich, a former Glasgow attorney, was in from his ranch on the Missouri river the first part of the week on matters of business. Mrs. P. J. Campbell and baby daughter returned the latter part of last week from Minot, where Mrs. Campbell has been spending the winter. Miss Nadine Snyder, the winner in the high school declamatory contest left Tuesday evening for Missoula, where she will take part in the state contest. Visit the Hospital, Monday the 15th. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Lytle and children moved out to the W. W. Mabee ranch the latter part of last week. Mr. Lytle will have charge of Mr. Mabee's ranch interests. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Carmen left Sunday for their home at Haxby. Mrs. Carmen has been a patient at the Deaconess hospital, having undergone an operation recently. Frank Currie, formerly a rancher of the Lismas country, returned to Glasgow on Monday of this week for a visit with friends. He expects to return east again within a week or two. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harrison, who were former residents of Nashua, and who have been in Glasgow for the past few weeks, on account of Mrs. Harrison's health, left for Baylor Saturday, where Mr. Harrison expects to open up a blacksmith shop. Miss Dena Jorgenson arrived in Glasgow Tuesday morning from Harlowton, where she is employed on.

YEGGS DESERT PLAN TO ROB SAFE AFTER BANK FOUND CLOSED s Bandit Plot Comes to Naught At Opheim; Institution Suspended Two Years Ago. Glasgow, May 14.-Bank robbers some time early Saturday morning attempted to blow open the safe of the First National bank of Opheim, but on discovering that the bank had been closed for two years evidently decided that it would not be worth while. Telephone lines on both sides of town had been cut, entrance was gained through rear door, the windows were covered and a charge of explosives set off, which knocked the knob off the door of the safe.
