Description

Articles indicate Laurel State Bank closed in May 1925 and was placed in receivership (receiver Corwin/George W. Graff references). In March 1926 a court order authorized payment of a dividend from the bank closed last May. By June 1926 the bank building and fixtures were sold by the receiver and a new Yellowstone Bank opened in the former Laurel State Bank building. There is no mention of a depositor run prior to suspension; events point to suspension followed by permanent closure and receivership.
