Description

The Farmers State Bank of Havre is repeatedly referenced as being closed and in receivership (receiver names O. G. Skylstead and C. W. Erskine appear in legal notices and sheriff's sales from 1925 onward). An article states the institution closed in 1921 and later receivers made dividend payments, indicating the bank suspended operations and remained closed under receivership (permanent closure). No contemporaneous newspaper excerpt in the provided set describes a depositor run prior to suspension, so I classify this as a suspension leading to closure/receivership. Dates are taken from article publication context; the closure year 1921 is stated explicitly in the 1926 article.
