Description

Multiple brief notices (Nov 1925) report that J. M. Swan is receiver of the First National banks at Ronan and Charlo and that R. C. Riddick resigned as receiver of Polson. The First National Bank at Charlo is described as being in receivership (i.e., closed) — no article mentions a depositor run. The closure/receivership predates the receiver change (articles state the Polson bank closed 'a year and a half ago'), but the press notices of the receiver appointment are dated November 1925; I use these dates for the receivership event. Cause classified as bank-specific adverse information (failure leading to receivership) because articles report closure and receivership without citing rumors or wider panic.
