SOUTHERN BANK'S ASSETS ARE SOLD Meridian, Miss., January 31.-Today the assets of the old Southern bank, which closed its doors as a result of the financial panic, were sold at public outcry, and on some of the securities there was some animated bidding, while others went for almost nothing. The securities sold
