CENTURY BANKING CO. IN RECEIVERS' HANDS Jackson, July 10-The Century Banking Company has been placed in in the hands of receivers by the officers of the company, who filed a deed of assignment to Judge T. E. Cooper and W. H. Anderson, with request for liquidation of its affairs. June 14 the bank made statement of its condition to the Auditor, showing assets and liabilities of $65,553.48. Of this $25,000 was capital paid in, $30,255.02 was individual deposits subject to check, $4,806 times certificates of deposit, savings deposits $2,545.11. The loans and discounts amounted to $41,905.47, real estate $8,918.48, furniture and fixtures $4,921.32, due from other banks $4,767.63. V. Otis Robertson was president, John W. Saunders assistant cashier.
