The Merchants Bank of Grenada was assigned and placed in the hands of an assignee/receiver (assignment noted in Feb 1903 press). Subsequent chancery court proceedings, dividend to depositors, receiver's sale (Nov 1903) and sheriff's sale (Feb 1904) indicate the bank was suspended and liquidated/closed rather than reopening.
