CARTHAGE BANK CLOSES State Department Takes Over Affairs of Institution CARTHAGE Dec. 5.-The Carthage bank failed to open for business this morning. A notice on the door signed by the directors said the action had been taken to protect the interests of depositors. The bank is in charge of representative of the state banking department F. M.
