APPEAL TO AID FOR FLOOD VICTIMS IRVING PEEBLES, OF THIS COUNTY, WRITES OF CONDITIONS IN MISSISSIPPI. Several citizens of this county are in receipt of letters from living Peebles, cashier of the Bank of Boyle, Miss, a former resident of this county, who tells a pitiful story of conditions in that section due to the flood. He makes an earnest appeal for assistance for the people, declaring that a large part of the population must be fed and the stock must be taken care of for an indefinite time. The bank has been practically suspended as have all other business operations, and Mr. Peebles and other residents are spending most of their Lime relieving the people who are stricken and destitute. A collection for the benefit of these sufferers will be taken at the Methodist church at Culleoka on next Sunday and persons who desire to contribute to the funds here can leave their contributions with James W. Thomas at the Phoenix National Bank.
