NO RECORDS IN CALLOWAY CO. State Examiner Sewell Reports County Judge Spent Three-fourths of His Time as Bank Receiver. (By Associated Press) FRANKFORT, Ky., Jan. 1.—State Examiner Sewell reported today to Gov. Laffoon that records and affairs in Calloway county had "been badly neglected for many months" and declared it resulted from County Judge E. P. Phillips spending more than three-fourths of his time as receiver for the First National Bank of Murray. Sewell said Judge Phillips explained that he thought his wife was keeping the records, but since he realized she was not, he promised to take prompt steps to remedy conditions.
