PETTIS COUNTY BANK. The Case to be Tried at a Special Term of Court, June 22. The Pettis county bank dissolved as a corporation in 1887, at which time it was placed in the hands of Chas. E. Yeater, as receiver, to wind up its affairs. All ite indebtedness and depositors have been paid in full and several thousand dollars is now in the hands of the receiver to be paid to the shareholders. However, the shareholders do not agree, as to the amount due to each respectively. There are two sets which survived the fight which brought about the dissolution of the bank-the Fields faction and the Chaney faction. The former claims all the assets in the hands of the receivers. The case which is to determine the matter has been specially set for the 22nd inst. The circuit judge, Hon. Richard Field, refuses to sit in the case because distantly related to the Field claimants. The attorneys in the case, Messrs. Jackson. Montgomery, Lougan, Burnett and Smith have agreed on the Hon. Alexander Martin, formerly judge of the supreme court, and now Dean of the law department of the state university, to act as special judge. Accordingly Judge Martin has consented and will preside and try the case which is a chancery proceeding on the 22nd inst.
