Description

Newspaper articles (Apr 15–22, 1926) report a 10-day run on the Richmond Trust Company that led to the bank being closed about a week before Apr 15, 1926. Examiners declared the run was started by unfounded rumors (alleged losses connected to Wall Brothers store). The pieces describe the bank as closed and under examination but do not state whether it permanently failed, entered receivership, or later reopened — therefore classified as run_suspension_unsure. Treasurer S.L. Bay went missing and was feared to have committed suicide. Dates are approximate based on publication dates.
