JEFFERSON CITY, MO., May 26.Closing of the Citizens' Bank of Knox City, Knox County, by its directors today made the 29th bank failure of the year in Missouri. It was closed according to a telegram to State Finance Commissioner S. L. Cantley, because of "slow run that has depleted reserves." A bank examiner was sent to take charge. The Citizens' Bank was chartered in 1917. Its last statement of condition made April 16, shows loans, $77,458; real estate owned, $4000; cash on hand and due from other banks, $5946; capital, $10,000; surplus, $2500; total deposits, $55,890: bills payable. $15,000; total resources, $87,827.59. Run Closes Bank At Knox City, Mo. Jefferson City, Mo., May 26.Closing of the Citizen's Bank of Knox City, Knox county, by its directors today made the 29th bank failure in Missouri to date this year. It was closed according to a telegram to State Finance Commissioner S. L. Cantley, because of a "slow run that has depleted the reserves." A bank examiner was sent to take charge. The Citizens' Bank was chartered in 1917. It last statement of condition, made April 16, shows loans $77,458; real estate owned, $4000; cash on hand and due from other banks, $5946; capital, $10,000; surplus, $2500; total deposits, $55,890; bills payable, $15,000; total resources, $87,827.59. J. V. McKay is president and W. O. Parcells, cashier.

TO HAVE TWO SPECIAL For State Fair School and Edison Award in Edina June Examinations will held in the Edina public school building Friday, June for the 1930 Thomas scholarship award and for boys desire to enter the Boys' State Fair School Sedalia from Aug. Aug. 23, according to Mrs. Anna L. Swartz, county superintendent schools. Boys under 16 years of age attending elementary schools are eligible take examinations for entrance in the fair school at Sedalia, which will held during the Sedalia State Fair. Those passing the examinations here for entrance will be addressed during the school by men who are specialists in their particular lines. Certain rules apply to the school: First, boys must attend all excused by the second, no boy will be mitted leave the fair grounds withspecial permission from the perintendent; each boy will expected to retire by 10 o'clock each evening. boy must provide with small notebook and pencil and keep notes of the lectures when requested to do fifth, failure refusal with comply these rules will be cause for expulsion from the camp; sixth, expenses the are paid by State Fair School. The Edison competitive examinations first held last year by Edison, with eliminations in counties and states, and then final nationcompetition. similar cedure to be followed this year. Rules governing the examinations clude the following: Only boys who have been graduated from high school year, or in the immediate past, should attempt the examination, because the winner must be prepared to enter lege in September. Only boys who have done outstanding work in the physical sciences should attempt the examination.
