TELEGRAPHIC CLICKS. Richard Mansfield, the actor and manager of Garrick theater, is dangerously ill with typhoid fever at New York. The Missouri state bank examiner closed Center Bank, at Center, Ralls County, Mo., Monday. William Christian was appointed receiver. At Pittsburg. Kan., heavy rains have fallen for the last three days. The whole country is flooded and the tracks of all railroads leading into the city have been washed away. The will of Susan W. Talmage, the wife of Rev. T. DeWitt Talmage, was admitted to probate Monday. The estate, valued at $166,000, was left to her husband. The Frank Moseley company, at Montreal, leather merchants and tanners. one of the largest firms of its kind in Canada, is in financial difficulties. Its liabilities are about $300,000, while it is understood that its assets will make a poor showing. The gross earnings of the Iowa Central railroad for the year ending June 30, were $1,583,971, a decrease of $242,021; operating expenses, $1,058,821, a decrease of $139,768; net earnings, $535,150, a decrease of $92,253. Corrigan, McKinney & Co., of Cleveland, have closed a deal with the owners of the Northern Chief Iron company by which, control of the Germania, the Minnewawa, the Windsor and the Pence Mines on the Gogebic ranges are secured.
