Description

The articles indicate the Wells National Bank was declared insolvent in 1924 and placed in receivership (receiver Mackey J. Thompson / Mackay J. Thompson appears in 1926 and 1927 articles). There is no mention of a depositor run in these clippings; the bank remained closed under a receiver and litigation continued, so this is a suspension leading to closure/receivership.
